1 Presenter

How do I apply / Is there a deadline for application ?

Apply on the website using the " Submit a presentation " form. The deadline is May 31th, 2013. Selected companies will be notified before mid-June.

What kind of presentation is expected? How long should it be?

Please use Microsoft PowerPoint. Include all fonts and graphics. Each company presenter will be allocated a total of 30 minutes for the presentation. If you need guidance for your presentation you may download our presenter guidelines (PDF).

Can I edit my company's profile?

Yes. Please go to our Edit Profile page. Select the name of your company in the drop-down list and click the "Register" button. Then click the "To insert or edit your profile" button. You have to enter the username and password you submitted when entering your registration/application. Please note, that usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.

How much is the presentation fee? Does it include registration? Do I have to register separately?

With your Application to Present you are not automatically registered for the conference. You need to register separately. There are no presentation fee. Each company representative will be charged the registration fee of 1,250$ for payment received before September 13th 2013 and 1,450$ for payment received after September 14th, 2013.

How do I submit my presentation (tech specs)?

To ensure a technically flawless event, we are asking all presenters bring their laptop.

How can I exhibit at the Conference?

There are no exhibition booths at BioContact Québec.

What Partnership Levels are available and what benefits are included?

Only one level of partnership. Please refer to the Partnership section of the site.

3 Registration

How do I register as a Presenter?

Apply on the website by filling the form « Submit a Presentation » . Your application will be confirmed by mail and/or to the email address you submitted in your application. The application deadline is May 10th, 2013. Selected companies will be notified before May 10th, 2013.

How do I register as a Regular Attendee?

Please fill the online registration form on this website. Your registration will be confirmed by regular mail and/or by email to the email address you submitted in the registration form.

How do I register as an Additional Attendee?

Get to the registration section. Select the name of your Company and then fill-in your personal information. Your registration will be confirmed by regular mail and/or by email to the email address you submitted in the registration form.

Can I register onsite?

Yes. Please note that the onsite registration fee is 1,450$. Payment will be required onsite, by credit card (VISA, Master) or cash.

Is it possible to obtain a "one day only" registration ?

No. Only full conference registrations are available.

Can I share my registration with my colleagues?

No. Conference registrations are not transferable.

What is included in the price?

Your registration includes the following:

  • Participation in the Partnering process
  • Unlimited access to Biotech Company Presentations
  • Access to the Panel Discussions
  • Breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks
  • BioContact Québec cocktail events during the conference

Are there any discounts for multiple attendees?

Unfortunately, no discount for multiple attendees.

5 Invoicing

When will I receive an invoice?

You will receive an invoice with information on methods of payment shortly after your registration. To guarantee the early registration discount payments must be received by Septembre 13th, 2013.

What are the methods of payment?

Payments may be made by credit card (Visa and Master Card only), check or wire transfer. Details can be found on the invoice which will be sent to you a few days after your registration.

What happens if I have not paid my registration fee before the conference?

You will have to pay the registration fee of 1,450$.

Can I send a replacement?

Yes. Please register your replacement online and mention in the comment field "replacement for XY".

6 Cancellation

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be sent in writing by September 13th, 2013, to fax number 418.694.0614 to receive a refund. Refunds will be processed after BioContact Québec 2013. After September 13th, 2013, the full registration fee is applicable. However, you may send a replacement from your company.

7 Hotel

How do I reserve a hotel room?

BioContact Québec 2013 will be held at the Château Laurier, adjoining Grande-Allée, in the heart of Quebec City. A limited block of rooms is available at a special rate on a first come first served basis. Please contact the Château Laurier at 1.800.463.4453 or 418.522.3848, and please mention event number # 11712. Reserve online : reservation@vieuxquebec.com

8 Company profiles

What are the profiles used for?

Company profiles will be made available to all participants on the conference website early March 2013.

What's the deadline for submitting a profile?

Companies that applied to present must submit a profile by May 10th, 2013.

Changes can always be made and will be reflected on the website.

Can I edit my company profile?

Can I send my company profile as a Word document/PDF file/etc.?

We only accept profiles submitted through our website.

I have lost my password. What now?

Please send an email to lysbeth@biocontact.ca

My username/password doesn't work. What now?

Please enter your username and password exactly as entered on the registration/application form. Note, that usernames and passwords are case-sensitive (A is not equal to a, etc.). Your confirmation email contains your username and password.

Can I paste text from our Web site into the profile?

Please don't. Text copied from websites often contains invisible codes that cause problems.

9 Shipping information

Where do we send company brochures?

Partners of the event and presenting companies are welcome to send 100 company kits for distribution at BioContact Québec. They will be displayed in alphabetical order in the documentation room. Materials will not be returned after the conference. Please make sure that your kits are shipped to arrive between Friday September 27th, 2013 and Thuesday October 1st, 2013. All material should be sent to :
